The Challenges and Pitfalls in Diagnosing or Misdiagnosing Tuberculosis in Transplant Recipients

The goal of this activity is to convey information to physicians and health care professionals in the field of transplantation and to encourage group participation and discussion. At the end of this activity, participants should be able to determine the epidemiology and incidence of TB infection in immunocompromised patients, differentiate between the 3 available latent TB testing methods, and identify the clinical utility of IGRAs when testing immunocompromised patients for TB.
